Mas de la Costa, a 4-star charming hotel, is located near Valderrobres, a medieval town with narrow cobbled streets.

The hotel was born from the rehabilitation of a farmhouse in 1804. The original building retains its most emblematic elements such as stone and wood. The farmhouse is surrounded by 23 hectares of fields of almond, olive and beautiful gardens with unique views.

Françoise and Christian developed this small hotel in a completely environmentally friendly way, far from the turmoil of the city. Our guests can enjoy privileged moments in an elegant setting, with good gastronomy, surrounded by nature. Our motto: slow living, slow food.

The hotel has 15 rooms of which there are 8 Superior Doubles, 4 Junior Suites and 3 Suites. They stand out for their elegance, several have panoramic views and exits to private gardens where you can enjoy the stillness and beauty.It allows you to combine the possibility of getting away from everyday life to concentrate and think in a frame of nature and calm, with all the comfort, privacy, highly personalized service and excellent gastronomy.

Mas de la Costa, has ideal facilities to host weddings, meetings or special events. Small, intimate and romantic weddings of about 50 people can be arranged. We have two meeting rooms adapted for small groups of managers. 

Our restaurant, located in the old corrals of the farmhouse. The quadruple stone arcade on the dining room terrace allows you to enjoy the views of the impressive landscape of the Puertos de Beceite and when the weather is fine, one can take advantage of our outdoor terraces and admire the starry sky.

For lunch, Mas de la Costa **** offers a seasonal menu for half days and for dinner a menu that changes every night, with three options to choose from. It includes from traditional dishes to more exotic ones. We try to offer something for all tastes. At the request of the client, and depending on the availability of fresh market products, we can adapt the menu to their preferences, as well as their dietary needs or food intolerances.

Prawn risotto and truffle oil ★

Périgord duck foie gras mi-cuit ★ marinated in port and flavored with four spices, served with a small salad (mix of lettuce, arugula or tender seasonal sprouts), accompanied by scallops and toasts.

Roe deer fillet, Grand Veneur willow, spaetzle, red cabbage, and caramelized apple stuffed with cranberries.

Profiteroles of 3 perfumes and its warm dark chocolate sauce 70% Guanaja.

The Mas de la Costa pool offers wonderful views, an ideal place to cool off and relax during the hot summer. It is rectangular, salty water, measures approximately 60 m2 and is surrounded by a large garden with natural grass, set with a suggestive hammock and several sun loungers where customers can let themselves go and lose track of time. The pool is open from June to September, or longer, depending on weather conditions. Clients have towels at their reception and can also request a pool bar service. Pets are not allowed.

In addition, a few steps from the pool and around the main hotel building, there are several gardens furnished with tables, chairs, and another hammock where you can read a book or spend time watching the sunset.

For when the weather does not allow you to enjoy the outdoor pool, the hotel has a water area consisting of a sauna and a Turkish bath. After requesting it at reception, it is prepared exclusively at the request of the client. In addition to the bathrobes and slippers available in each room, towels and water are available to guests in the spa. The use is shared and without additional charge.

In the case of using the spa privately, an additional charge will be charged per room. The schedule available for the use of the spa privately is before 5:00 p.m. Prior reservation is required at reception.

- Vulture Observatory

Mas de Bunyol is a vulture observatory built on a farm inside a vulture nursery. The guided tour takes place every day, 365 days a year. Through the glass windows of the observatory, you can see within a short distance the descent of hundreds of vultures waiting for the entrance of Vultureman, who offers them their daily delicacy. A must for nature lovers and an unforgettable experience for those of us who enjoy watching animals in the wild. The bird observatory is 10 minutes from Hotel Mas de la Costa ****

- Natural Reserve of the Ports of Beceite

The mountain range of the Ports of Beceite extends through the provinces of Tarragona, Teruel and Castellón. Recognized for its landscapes, it is one of the two known habitats of the native mountain goat (capra pyrenaica hispanica), a shy mountain goat with impressive horns. The range is covered with different types of pine, oak and beech forests. In spring, the forest is filled with miniature wild orchids. It also houses a large population of vultures. Monte Caro, the highest peak in the park, rises to 1,447 m. It is 35 minutes from Hotel Mas de la Costa ****.

- Crystal Caves (Crystal Caves) near Molinos

Discovered in April 1961 by speleologists from Barcelona in collaboration with local residents, the site is known as the Cueva de Graderas or the Cueva de Cristal. It is an underground natural monument. The atmosphere of the cave and the absence of light sharpen the senses. Its temperature remains constant throughout the year, at 14ºC with 90% humidity. The cave is alive with stalagmites and stalactites still in formation. The caves can be reached in an hour by car from the Hotel Mas de la Costa ****.
