Fortified French Retreat is an 11th century B&B, camping ground and private event facility.​Two on suite rooms with king size beds (€80.00 including breakfast), camper van/caravan facilities including sanitation block and EHU availability, tent camping also. 10 berth bunkhouse sharing adjacent sanitation block with campers. Evening meals, snacks, drinks and breakfast all available. Plunge pool, covered terrace, outdoor terraces with built in BBQ’s. Local attractions include Puy De Fou theme park(multi award winning) 40 Kms distant, Pescalis fishing complex 5 minutes drive, the Voie Verte cycling and walking route is a short distance away, Mervent lake and Forest are a short drive. In the Summer months every town and village will have an event of some sort! La Rochelle, Loire Valley and the wonderful Vendée coastline all just over an hour away. The position here is ideal, very rural and tranquil but only a short drive for access to towns with all facilities and convenient for access to many major routes if traveling onward.
