The Barn Gîte

Converted from a former stable, The Barn retains many original  features and has beams throughout.

Downstairs there is a cosy sitting room with electric stove for cooler evenings and French doors to the patio area where you will find table and chairs for alfresco dining.  A well equipped kitchen gives you flexibility over cooking options.  Upstairs you will find a double bedroom and a full shower rooms with wc and basin.  Freeview TV, DVD player and free WiFi is available and there is a selection of books to choose from.

Checkin is from 4pm, departing before 10am

Bedlinen and towels are included in rental price and in the summer months all electric is included, From 1st October until 31st May we ask for a nominal amount for the electric of 25 euros.  Tourist Tax is payable on arrival at 80ct per adult per night. Please note there are no vehicle charging facilities on site, nearest charging station is 7km.

The cottage is self catering and has a full size oven, microwave, fridge with freezer box and all the necessary kitchen equipment.

if you don't fancy cooking we can recommend restaurants to suit all budgets not too far from the cottage.

There is a shared unheated splash pool and terrace on site.  Shared with Rose Cottage.

For 2020 and the Covid19 crisis we are asking guests to provide their own pillows, if this is not possible then you can hire them from us at €10 per room.  We are leaving 24 hours between guests to ensure that we have enough time to deep clean the property before you arrive and we will greet you with a mask on.

All other bedding and towels and house linen is provided.  We are providing a freshly laundered duvet for each bed so you can sleep easy knowing that previous guests haven't used that duvet before you

All amenities such as shopping, fuel, bank and restaurants can be found about 7km away from The Barn.

The amazing sandy beaches of the Côté D'Opale are 35 minutes away.  The roads are quiet and offer some amazing routes around the area.  Visit Montreuil sur Mer with its ramparts and gastronomic restaurants, or venture to Saint Omer with its canals, cobbled streets and award winning museums.  We are close to the Somme for WW1 memories and museums or visit the fascinating La Coupole WW2 German bunker, now a famous museum.  There is something for everyone in this unspoilt region of France.
