't Hooghe Licht

Welcome to our Bed & Breakfast 't Hooghe Licht. We are Hilde, Geert and our 3 children Vincent, Elise and Simon. We live in a renovated farmhouse in the countryside of the Flanders Fields. It is an ideal base for visiting the various memorial sites from the First World War.

You will find us in Langemark. A village in Flanders, 7 kilometers from Ypres and 2 kilometers from Zonnebeke.

Places of interest in our area are Tyne Cot Cemetary, Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917, Polygon Wood in Zonnebeke. The Menin Gate with Last Post, In Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres. Soldatenfriedhof in Langemark.

Bruges, Ghent, Lille (Fr) and the coast can be reached by motorbike within an hour.

Our B&B has 3 rooms on the attic floor: De Graanzolder: family room for 5 persons, De Schuur for 2 persons and De Hooizolder: family rooms for 5 persons.

All rooms have a bathroom with a shower, sink and a separate toilet. There is also a bathtub in the Graanzolder. A cot can be placed in each room.

On the ground floor is the common area with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and lounge area. Free coffee and tea during your stay. An honesty bar with some local beers, wines and fresh drinks. Lots of tourist information and cycling routes. We welcomed motorcyclists last night on the way back from a fifteen day road trip through Bosnia and Croatia. As the last stop before they cross The Channel to the UK, we offer them a safe parking.
