Málaga Moto Rent

So the boss (the one with the long hair) requested some winter sun after my return (tanned as fook) from a long rotation away in the Middle East. We sat and discussed destinations and plumped for a 12 day stay on the Costa Del Sol - Malaga to be exact. Rented ourselves an apartment within close proximity of the centre and flew out from LGW to AGP on Saturday morning.

As always in the back of MY mind was the chance to #ride? We initially had some great weather (albeit slightly cooler than where I had been) but with a couple of forecasted bad days, and some uncertainty for the following days we ended up not booking a rental motorcycle for fear of wasting cash.

The first Tuesday was wet, we visited the Picasso museum and a couple of other sights and then proceeded to get hard on it when she who must be obeyed spotted a sign for a cocktail bar. Aye, we got a bit messy, and things got a little more pear shaped on route back after having stopped for a 'BRUTAL' (Brugal) nightcap at a bar close by to the apartment.

Wednesday morning came and went in a hideous blur of nausea and the inevitable conversations of 'never again' 'why did we' 'what were we thinking' 'crikey I wish I had an off switch'. Gradually throughout the day we recovered enough to be able to think about the next weeks shenanigans. I once again consulted the weather apps (all of them) - we had a window! Yaaay, but had I left it too late?

Frantic online searches commenced, desperation started to kick in where I was considering a 125 scoot and then I happened upon the ad for Málaga Moto Rent. I sent an initial enquiry, Francisco contacted me via WhatsApp almost immediately saying that all he had left for the dates was a Yamaha Tenere 700. I'll have it I said! not quite knowing the bike.

Francisco delivered the bike the following morning, he had brought various amounts of gear to try on for both me and her. I had sent my necessary docs to him Wednesday evening so when he arrived, all we had to do was try the gear, look the bike over and confirm no damage, pay the fee and the blocked deposit and sign the contract. A process that took literally minutes! A more slick operation you could not have wished for. Francisco is a hell of a cool guy, obviously an experienced biker and businessman. Relaxed, charming and funny. Someone you immediately feel at ease with.

The Yamaha T7 supplied was in absolute perfect condition being almost new. The colour scheme was black and grey and it look amazing, clean, lubed and good to go, everything about it screamed classy fun. We had this on hire for 4 days, and although we were faced with extremely windy conditions for the last two, having it was an absolute blast. At the end of the rental, we once again had fantastic communication from Francisco, he came to collect her along with the gear. I pointed out a few marks that I made (more to follow on my thoughts about the bike). To his credit again he remained calm, level headed and very understanding to the circumstances.

Thank you Francisco & Málaga Moto Rent for such a great rental experience. We will recommend you to personal friends and those that are registered on the Ride and Rest site, & when we are down that way again we will be sure to hire from you to do some more of this.
