Brands hatch 16/17/18-04-2021
Round one of NGRRC was a blast, id never been to brands hatch before and I was so excited to go there after all the stories I heard. We arrived on the Wednesday night ready for our trackday in the morning. We got noise tested and had some breakfast and then it was time to get out there. The description id been given of turn one compared to how I reacted to turn one was polar opposite. My stomach almost came out my rear and my heart was in my mouth!! It was mega!! However our trackday was cut short by rain as we didn’t want to have to use our wets if we might need them for the weekend. We had another trackday on the Friday that was dry all day, just picking away at our times and getting used to the track.
Then race day 1 came!! And we managed to bag ourselves a 3rd place in the JNRSS class. To be honest it was scary riding in the JNRSS class as we are mixed in with the mini twins who sometimes can be brutal but none the less we survived!! In the race before that we were chasing our Scottish Friend Dan James on his DesmoDue bike with Scott Wilson also coming to join in the fun.
On race day two I was starting to get exhausted, id been working hard for 3 days and the 4th day was going to be the hardest id worked. I had 1 practice session and 4 races, 2 for each class. I’m not sure on what happened in the open 500 race but I do know that I got a 4th and another 3rd place in the junior class!! So yet another weekend that I cant complain with!!
