Welcome to La Source Tranquille

Welcome to La Source Tranquille, our 4* gîte located in the heart of the Picardie countryside yet only 1 hour from Paris. We have two bedrooms, sleeping up to 4, a fully equipped kitchen, games room with table tennis, babyfoot and darts and a covered deck to enjoy your private part of our garden. We have excellent rides and walks straight from our door covering the beautiful rolling Vexin countryside and have bakers and restaurants all within walking distance. You can even hop on the train into Paris or ride to the beautiful towns of Senlis, Chantilly or Beauvais.

Our little corner of paradise is enclosed with gates and a wall all around so your bikes will be perfectly safe. We have wonderful biking country right on our doorstep. Cyclists can follow the river if they're not fans of big hills or you can venture up onto the plateaus around us and into the fabulous rolling Vexin hills. Bikemap.net will show you many great routes without having to use your car.

Motorcyclists have just as many options too. You can head north to Amiens and beyond into the first and Second World War battlefields or east or west into lovely French countryside. Stop at a local auberge and experience real local cooking before returning home for a sundowner on the deck.

Features

Both bedrooms and shower room are upstairs whilst downstairs is open plan. The sitting area has comfy sofas should you need to watch TV (freeview is available) or a Blu-ray. The kitchen is fully equipped.

Next door is the covered games room with table tennis, babyfoot and darts - useable even if it's raining. Next to that is our garage. You are welcome to park bikes in the games room or in the garage. We even have an outside hose should you need it!

The covered deck has a table and chairs for outside dining and a Weber barbecue. There are sun loungers for those long lazy days of summer.

What's Nearby

We are in the heart of our small town where there are 5 bakeries, a butchers and a small supermarket. A larger supermarket is only 5 minutes away. There are a couple of pizza and kebab restaurants, a tabac and even a Waffle House!

Within twenty minutes are the larger towns on Beauvais, Senlis and Chantilly which have many wonderful restaurants.
