Lauzerte is located in Tarn-et-Garonne, bordering the Lot and the Lot-et-Garonne, just south of the Dordogne. The region  is characterized by a surprising mosaic of slopes, lichens, terraces, limestone plains and cliffs. It is also called Tuscany of France. In spring it is colourful by the blossoms of the fruit trees and in summer the landscape is full of blooming sunflowers, corn and wheat.

Hospitality, serenity and space are characteristic of the area. In addition to the beautiful nature, where you can go hiking and cycling, there are also many picturesque villages, often situated on the hillsides, which offer a nice view of the surrounding area. There are various recreational lakes, some of which include water sports and (sailing) boat rentals. Canoeing on the rivers, visiting caves, tree climbing parks, museums etc.

The Tarn-et-Garonne is not a big tourist department, but there are plenty of things to see and do. The Canal du Midi flows through along a hiking and cycling path and also the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella crosses the Tarn-et-Garonne. Also for those who like culture there is plenty to discover and visit. Due to its central location, it is also easy to take trips to e.g. Cahors, Agen, Pujols, Rocamadour and Toulouse, but also the Pyrenees mountains can be visited during a day trip.

If you do not feel like cooking yourself, there is the possibility of dining with the owners and potentially other guests (table d'hôtes)

We serve our menu at the price of 28 € pp for adults (aperitif with appetizer, 3 courses, water & coffee). Wine, beer and soft drinks are available at democratic prices. Children up to 12 years pay 15 € and from 12 to 18 years 22 €. Children under 3 years of age join for free.

if you are staying in a gîte, you can also join us for breakfast (10 € / pp, 7 € for children up to 12 years), just let us know the day before.

The garden has several cozy corners and beautiful terraces. You can enjoy the heated swimming pool with sun terrace or play a game of pétanque, or you can relax in the lounge with a good book. There are toys for the children, as well as various outdoor games such as a swing, badminton, frisbees, ...

Bounetis Bas is a cozy and small domain in the countryside, very quiet, but only a 7 minutes drive away is the center of Lauzerte, with a big supermarket, bakery, restaurants and cafes.
